Your Overall Score uses TrustYou’s special algorithm to score your hotel. The most recent reviews are given more weight than older reviews to calculate this score. The past 24 months of review data are used when calculating the Overall Score, so even though it may be slow to move, it gives a great picture of your hotel’s sustaining performance. Please note that independently of the timeframe you select for the Dashboard, the Overall Score will always refer to data from the last 24 months, ending with the last day of the timeframe currently selected.
You’ll notice that this tile also includes a evaluation along with the Overall Score of your hotel. Since your Overall Score considers a larger range of data than most of the other available metrics, it’s an important indicator as to how well your hotel performs as a whole. Here are the thresholds for the Overall Score:
- Excellent: 86 – 100
- Very Good: 80 – 85
- Good: 75 – 79
- Fair: 68 – 74
- Poor: 0 – 67
When you click the tile to expand it, you can see information about the review sites that we use to calculate your Overall Score and how your score has changed over time.
The Score shown per source is taken directly from the source website, i.e. if you see 87 for Booking.com in this tile, you would see a total score 8.7 if you go to that hotel's Booking.com page. You will also be able to work with the scores taken directly from the source website when you create Custom Tiles in Portfolio or Competitors.
By definition, the Overall Score is a rounded number. But of course you might want to find out how close you are winning or losing a point. The easiest way to see decimals for the Overall Score is checking the "Your Values" number in the Overall Tile in the Competitors tab.
